DESCRIPTION

Corteva Agriscience has a contract opportunity for a Marketing Communications Manager

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of the internal and external marketing communication strategies and tactics for the Corteva Agriscience? Pioneer® Eastern Seed business. They will also work with a team of key stakeholders to integrate seed, crop protection, and seed-applied technology to provide Pioneer customers with the best Corteva solutions for their crops.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the team responsible for the development of the annual Pioneer® integrated communications plan to support marketing and sales priorities for Eastern Canada.
  • Oversee execution of the plan
  • to produce and deliver all elements, including, but not exclusive to sales tools, product information, advertising, and public relations.
Branding: Ensure all communications align with brand standards, and privacy laws and trademarks are respected.
  • Agency of record: Effectively provide leadership and direction to advertising agency on day-to-day activities and projects. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Budget: Understand budget processes and procedures. Monitor spend and manage within budget limitations. Advise/adjust estimates as needed. Evaluate communications projects, activities, and programs for cost-effectiveness.
  • Sales Support & Technical Knowledge: Develop market-specific technical product information to support sales efforts (catalogs, newsletters). Monitor and be familiar with product characteristics
  • Digital: Provide input into and oversee the implementation of social and digital initiatives for Eastern Canada.
  • Direct to the customer: Support effective one-to-one communications with all customers and prospects in assigned markets.
  • Events: Lead strategy and planning for the Pioneer and Corteva presence at trade shows and farm shows.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements- What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Advertising, Public Relations, or Journalism or equivalent experience.
  • Ten or more years' experience within the agriculture industry, a communications agency, or other professional experience performing similar work as described above.
  • Adept at strategic planning and intimate knowledge of marketing strategy and how to utilize the entire scope of digital and traditional communication mediums
  • Able to lead and collaborate with diverse workgroups and balance competing priorities
  • Possess excellent oral/written communications skills in English
  • Oral/written communication skills in French would be an asset.
  • Project management training would be an asset.
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of crop production systems would be an asset.
