PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER

As a Product Marketing Manager, you are responsible for helping to tell the story about how Vidyard helps organizations succeed through the strategic use of online video. In this role you'll be involved in product marketing strategy from beginning to end at a company focused on product-led growth. From determining positioning and crafting messaging to leading go-to-market planning, you'll help shape the voice of new Vidyard products and services to help drive user acquisition and conversion. This means you'll be working with Vidyardians across the business: from marketing and engineering, to sales and customer success.

A strong strategic thinker and writer, the candidate will also be responsible for development of product messaging, competitive positioning, internal product training content, and recommendations on external communications strategy for launches and in-market programs. This will require the candidate to be constantly monitoring competitive activity, identifying customer needs and interacting with engineering, operations, and sales to bring innovative new products to market.

AS A PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER YOU WILL:

  • Launch and communicate new products, features, services, and partner integrations to prospective and existing Vidyard customers
  • Work with members of content marketing, demand generation, design, and web development to plan and execute product-focused web content, videos, articles, and campaigns
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to help align marketing priorities and programs with the product and business roadmap
  • Work with growth, digital, and product management teams to define and execute strategies for growing our free user base and converting them into paying customers
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement resources, collateral, and presentations that support the sales team in telling the story about Vidyard products
  • Research buyer behavior and market opportunities
  • Develop expert knowledge of the competitive landscape

TO BE AN EFFECTIVE TEAM MEMBER, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • College/University degree preferably in marketing/business
  • 5+ years product marketing experience in technology/software with a freemium model
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Must have experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing
  • The ideal candidate will be motivated, creative, results-oriented, and possess the ability to communicate complex ideas in ways that are simple to understand
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in teams of varying sizes, and during nebulous creative processes
  • Experience working closely with engineering, sales, and customer success teams
  • An eye for detail and design
