Our client located in Pointe Claire is currently recruiting a talented, energetic and relationship building Account Manager to join their growing team. In your role as Account Manager - New Accounts you will be tasked with identifying potential business streams - new clients as well as new industries within existing clients. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, you are accountable for generating sales opportunities. As Account Manager - New Accounts some of your responsibilities are as follows:

Please note the #1 criteria for this position is : A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing industry (Not IT Hardware)

  • Cold-Calling prospective clients to present company
  • Identify and prioritize a focused sales prospect list
  • Generation of in-bound inquiries, RFQs, RFPs
  • Timely qualification of new opportunities, both in-bound and out-bound
  • Timely and effective Scoping of new opportunities
  • Professional presentation of quotes and proposals to WOW customers
  • Develop & maintain relationships with key company decision-makers and influencers at all levels of the organization
  • Coordinate team sales efforts with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Program Management, Bid Management and Production
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals / quotations for new sales opportunities in partnership with bid management team
  • Present quotes and proposals to customers
  • Effectively negotiate terms and conditions, contracts and pricing
  • Prepare Sales reports and forecasts

In order to secure an interview for this exciting opportunity you must possess the following:

  • Bachelors Degree in a business or technical discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of total sales experience with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing industry
  • Cold calling experience a must
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Effective territory management and the ability to create credible target list
  • Selling complex solutions - Minimum of $1M to $50M in annual value
  • Negotiations of complex contracts
  • Selling to Fortune 500 OEMs
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
