Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing the necessary technical support to internal users and customers in a MacIntosh and Windows prepress environment.

Responsabilities:

• Provide technical support for operating the AGFA CTP equipment; complete updates of applications when necessary;
• Analyze and anticipate solutions to technical problems within a short delay during production time. Knows how to apply solutions efficiently;
• Ability to train the operators and contribute to the development of their skills and technical knowledge within daily situations that arise;
• Provide recommendations that contribute to process efficiency, cost reduction and the overall quality of the product;
• Provide reports and write procedures that can support the client with problem-solving;
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate systems and applications;
• Participate in improvement meetings, the monitoring of operations and contribute to the management of various projects within the plant that involve the prepress department;
• All other related tasks

Qualifications:

• DEC - Information Technology or Computer Graphics;
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment;
• Bilingualism is essential - regular communication with the USA
• Excellent technical knowledge – knowledge of Windows, MAC OSX, Prinergy, Suite Adobe, and VMWare platforms;
• Excellent concepts for solving technical problems with an ability to understand and quickly assimilate complex software;
• Customer and results oriented;
• Abillity to work under pressure;
• Flexibility with work schedule (attendance at night – remote support);
