Marketing Manager - Events & Tradeshows

We are seeking a Marketing Manager - Events & Tradeshows to focus on generating leads, accelerating sales funnel, and helping our sales team win new business across the USA and Canada through events and tradeshows. The role requires creativity, collaboration and proven experience in planning & implementing successful event programs with clear measurements on lead generation and sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of best practices in field marketing, the end-to-end marketing funnel, sales pipeline and around ROI measurement.
This role reports to the Director of Demand Generation. This position will preferably be based out of our Vancouver Head Office, but we are open to candidates working remote from anywhere in North America.
What You'll Do
Plan and execute a mix of in-person and virtual field events and industry events to drive qualified leads and generate/nurture opportunities for Sales teams and deepen our existing customer and partner relationships
Strategize, build, and execute integrated demand-gen campaigns and programs that include events (both physical and virtual), email marketing, webinars, direct-mail marketing, digital & social, audience-relevant content, customer success stories, and other elements of the marketing mix
Vet and qualify new events and conferences to scale the existing corporate events program while managing vendors, budget, and ROI reporting
Maximize awareness and attendance for all regular and special events and promotions
Build and maintain relationships with event suppliers, contractors and organizers
Ensure that brand guidelines and messaging is adhered to for any event or presentation
Coordinate any presentations required for events, from strategy/topic creation, arranging content and briefing/arranging speakers
Ensure all relevant marketing material and content is up-to-date, relevant and engaging
Attend and manage field event & industry event programs, including implementation of a pre-event strategy and post-event follow up both internally and with prospects/customers
Who You Are
3 or 4 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing or production
Experience working at a B2B technology company, preferably SaaS or enterprise B2C
Must be able to travel 40% of the time (as live events return)
Ability to build strong partnerships and influence outcomes cross-functionally
Excellent communication skills both internally and externally
Strong organizational and project management skills
Detail oriented and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines
Obsessed with creative and design - experience in building experiential design/marketing elements
Experience in scaling participation in third party tradeshow sponsorships
Experience with organizing bespoke events from start to finish
Strategic and outcome-oriented mindset in the planning and execution of a high-impact marketing plan
You are highly organized and love to plan; you have methods to coordinating various priorities and staying on top of tasks
Outstanding written communication skills
Comfortable presenting your results to senior management and/or the company
