Job title: Assistant Marketing Manager, AERO

Location: North York, ON

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Confectionery Team in shaping the future of AERO to deliver growth over the MBS and establish it as a leading brand in everyday indulgence. The individual will support in developing brand strategy and own the execution of 18-month brand plans leading I&R and consumer support activities. They will be responsible for managing the marketing budget (PFME), tracking brand performance, and analysing brand health metrics.

A day in the life of...

As an Assistant Marketing Manager you will working daily with cross-functional teams to make your plans come to life with lots of autonomy and support to really thrive.

You will also:

  • Provide fact-based recommendations to support consumer and customer initiatives that drive portfolio profitability and growth
  • Support the annual planning process, reviewing performance as well as consumer & category dynamics to establish 3 Yr and 18 month plans
  • Manage end to end execution of key Innovation & Renovation projects, collaborating and influencing effectively across various stakeholders to execute with excellence
  • Partner closely with CSD to optimize the portfolio, specifically as it relates to packaging, pricing, promotions, merchandising and distribution strategies to support segment plans
  • Manage launch related initiatives and communication, including launch presentations, sales kits and samples while supporting the overall integrated commercial planning process
  • Gather and interpret multiple sources of data (including AC Nielsen, Customer POS, Consumer Research, Financials etc.) to provide a complete understanding of category dynamics and business health
  • Support the team in improving the return on investment year over year and tracking marketing expenses
  • Manage strategy for social platforms and act as custodian of organic content
  • Act as a champion of the Confectionery business unit across the broader Nestle Canada team

As the successful candidate, you will be working with multiple stakeholders throughout the organisation so you will need to be collaborative, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great project management and analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also have:

  • A minimum of 2 year of marketing experience in CPG, Food&Beverage industry experience preferred
  • An understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources and environment
  • Project management skills with end-to-end thinking and cross functional leadership
  • Be self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit and the to be an innovative thinker
  • A passion to build and grow brands, deeply rooted in consumer behaviour
  • Courage and a willingness to respectfully challenge the status quo
  • Agility to manage change and ambiguity in an evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient literacy in Nielsen and Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail
  • University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
