Job summary About the Role You will develop brand strategy and drive customer acquisition initiatives via brand marketing channels across AbeBooks' international business. As a Marketing Manager, you will develop channel strategies and tactics, conduct experiments, analyze results and manage spend. You will work closely with Product, User Experience, Engineering, Finance, Sales and fellow Marketing team members, including PR, to achieve shared goals. Own customer acquisition strategy, cadenced reporting and execution via existing brand channels (including paid search/PPC, free search/SEO and social media) ? Define brand value proposition, create messaging, launch experiments and measure impact ? Request investment and manage spend for branding activities ? Identify cross team and cross functional opportunities to drive brand awareness ? Act as go-to expert and advocate for brand channels within AbeBooks ? Form productive working relationships with other Amazon and subsidiary teams to share knowledge and launch joint initiatives ? Support fellow team members on their projects and during vacation time A day in the life As a Marketing Manager, you'll work as part of the Marketing team to launch and manage customer acquisition initiatives at scale. You'll come up with strategies to generate brand awareness, launch experiments and measure results. You'll get support from others on the marketing team as well as experts from other teams (PR, Sales, Product, Engineering). You'll communicate findings to senior management and recommend areas for future investment. About the team The AbeBooks Marketing team delights readers and collectors by helping them discover one of a kind items from any device, anywhere in the world. The team is made of up of individuals from diverse backgrounds based in Germany and Canada and owns customer acquisition and retention efforts for AbeBooks' global domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Excel) and SQL
  • Proficiency in French, German, Italian or Spanish
  • Experience with one or more online marketing channel (e.g., paid search/PPC, organic search/SEO, email, social media, affiliates)
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at once and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience working cross functionally with both tech and non-tech teams, such as Public Relations, Product, User Experience, Engineering and Finance teams
