Annual Base Salary: $96,000 to $112,000 CAD

The mission of the Product Marketing team is to help tell the story of how FME helps unlock the power of data. This team creates content that highlights solutions to challenges that businesses and customers face by showcasing the benefits of FME and how it addresses their needs. Primary focus areas are positioning, voice of customer research, buyer intelligence, messaging, pricing, customer segmentation, and product launches.

About The Role

As our Team Lead, Product Marketing, you understand our customers, our community, and the challenges they face. You are a strategic thinker, a seasoned B2B marketer and inspiring leader who is responsible for guiding our Product Marketing Team to address business challenges, contribute to product strategy and provide insight to the future of FME. You are adept at taking technical concepts and making them clear and accessible in order to leverage FME throughout the sales cycle. Your role is to work closely with our Director of Marketing, contributing to revenue generation by arming our sales and marketing teams with the tools they need by answering the key strategic questions of who needs our solutions, where they are and how do we reach them.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create compelling sales and customer-facing content used throughout the sales process, leveraging insights from sales conversations to develop messaging that effectively communicates the value of our product.
  • Research and define our enterprise buyer and user personas, their specific needs, pain points, and goals that we can help address.
  • Contribute to product lifecycle management across all business lines, supporting Product Management by reporting market research to inform future product developments, receiving key information on changes and updates across the product life cycle, and gathering product usage insights.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and business development to build the strategy around targeting audiences, timelines, priorities, and processes.
  • Through competitive intelligence, identify and define the key value drivers which differentiate FME in the market.
  • Develop and implement go to market strategies and campaigns in partnership with the Director of Marketing, sales, digital, and content marketing.
  • Working with the Technical Experts Team, you will be using insights from customer support conversations to understand common problems and how FME solves these by creating informative content.
  • Support pricing decisions in order to meet market demands and needs.
  • Define and lead market research projects into specific market segments.
  • Develop product marketing content and collateral such as website pages, blogs, white papers, technical briefs, articles, webinars, videos, decks, and data sheets supporting the buyer's journey communicating the value of FME.
  • Work closely with the product marketing team to plan how each new release is brought to market and coordinate the cross-functional implementation of the launch plan.
  • Lead, manage, coach and inspire a team of product marketers to deliver relevant content, develop their skills and career paths ensuring each are effective in their roles.
  • Own the quality, effectiveness and performance of the product marketing team results.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a related position within a high tech organization.
  • Familiarity with data challenges, IT, or cloud-based tools is an asset.
  • Compassionate leader who has a proven track record of coaching and mentoring the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding English communications skills to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple value focused and intuitive communications.
  • Experience designing sales collateral from scratch based on sales conversations, sales calls, product interviews, user interviews, market research, and your own experience.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated with strategic planning skills.
  • Experienced in engaging stakeholders in a collaborative, cross-team capacity.
