ICONIX is currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative at our Winnipeg branch.

The Inside Sales Representative works cooperatively with Account Managers and other members of the ICONIX waterworks team to grow our municipal, industrial and waterworks sales by providing product information, price quotes, processing and completing orders, and efficient delivery of products.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Providing a high level of customer service - excellent customer service is what makes the difference.
  • Providing technical support and services to customers.
  • Discussing product requirements and expectations with customers and recommending specific products and solutions.
  • Recommending alternate products based on customers' budget/cost, availability or specifications.
  • Presenting projected pricing, credit and terms in accordance with ICONIX policies and procedures and the customer's profile.
  • Assists in the warehouse, shipping and receiving: Reviews and fills daily work orders and prepares for distribution of customer shipments.
  • Proactively providing product information and recommending items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Educating customers about features and benefits of ICONIX services and products.
  • Processing customer orders and performing order data entry.
  • Providing daily quotations, bids, and letters.
  • Ordering products for customers based on their purchase order.
  • Assisting in general sales and marketing initiatives as required.
  • Follow up with warehouse, vendors, and delivery persons to ensure the customer receives the correct product on time.
  • Resolving customers' questions and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting in warehouse, shipping and receiving and administrative duties.
  • Participating in health and safety-related duties.

The ideal Inside Sales Representative Candidate possesses the following qualifications :

  • Demonstrable knowledge of waterworks/construction type products and materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills for invoicing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy to process orders.
  • Strong computer skills (ability to retrieve and enter data, use Microsoft office suite).
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.
