We're looking for a passionate teammate to join the Decathlon Brampton team as the Communications Manager for the upcoming store. As the communications manager, you would play an integral part in the development and execution of the day to day communication strategies and needs of your store. You would work with various team members to make the communications process more effective and efficient. You will be responsible for creating content that speaks to sports users and helps decathlon in making the pleasure and benefits of sports accessible to the many; among other job roles. Responsibilities

  • Create communication strategies for the various local social networks
  • Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube, Instagram;
  • Create engaging content for various social media pages;
  • Create analyses and reports on users and their interaction;
  • Make sure the information of the social network accounts are up to date;
  • Design and implement communication tools of various kinds;
  • Support the execution and coordination of all stages of graphic production and prepress, ensuring file compliance for printing;
  • Share store events and inform customers of relevant information on social networks;
  • Facilitate exchanges for store needs;
  • Support with the planning and execution of local events;
  • Along with the store team, guarantee the store daily operational tasks are complete (Check out, delivery, replenishment, customer service, support consumers in store);
  • Engage and provide customers with excellent product knowledge.
  • We are looking for a dedicated person who will be able to communicate all relevant information to customers and maintain the store's social networks in accordance with the Decathlon's values.

Candidate profile searched:

  • Do you have a background in Design and/or Communications and/or Marketing? Experience and knowledge of design, adobe illustrator, photography content, social media, public relations, customer service or events, gets you brownie points.
  • Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit?
  • Do you enjoy creating social media content?
  • Do you share a passion for sport?
  • Do you enjoy spreading the word?
  • Are you energetic and have a positive attitude?
  • Do you love and enjoy planning and executing events?
  • Do you live in Brampton or close to the city?
  • Do you know how to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign?
  • Do you know how to communicate through graphics?
  • Are you fluent in English? Having some knowledge of French might be a plus.
