Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of the Communications and Engagement Team of the Global Contact Centres ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:

Support strategic alignment activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the planning and execution of executive and strategic planning offsites
  • Supporting the communication (digital or otherwise) of organizational changes or sensitive initiatives
  • Tracking key communications activities, projects, and milestones
  • Owning GCC Communications SharePoint, including maintenance, onboarding, and promoting use of throughout the GCC Communications team

Coordinate the development and multi-channel delivery of frontline, employee and People Manager digital communications by:

  • Owning the content management of the GCC Scotiabank Live space and the coordination and updating of relevant content for GCC subspace as well as the management of the GCC Workplace pages
  • Developing and executing digital communications and plans for issues of relevance and importance
  • Working with the Manager, Employee Engagement & Change Management, to ensure the alignment and execution of digital communications (where applicable) for communication and change management activities

Manage the development and multi-channel delivery of digital employee engagement activities, including:

  • Managing (coordination and execution of) SVP-level executive recognition program (Applause)
  • Developing and/or coordinating the execution of digital campaigns, polls, surveys and other relevant tactics to measure or increase employee engagement
  • Other engagement activities, as required

Support change management communications advisory and execution support for strategic projects:

  • Providing advice and direction on digital communication tactics and best practices for GCC strategic projects
  • Supporting digital communications implementation for strategic projects,
  • Tracking key communications activities, projects, and milestones
  • Managing projects of a confidential or sensitive nature
  • Creating and maintaining digital "best practices" and other supporting communications documents for all GCC employees

Requirments & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, related designation or equivalent job experience
  • Exceptional written communication skills, ability to adapt communication style for different audience groups
  • Experience using social collaboration and media tools to enhance communications and engagement
  • Strong attention to detail, and high-level of accountability for the quality and timely completion of projects
  • Experience and professionalism in working with subject that is sensitive and confidential in nature
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects from the initial idea generation stage through to implementation
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to build relationships with, negotiate with and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues and determine the nature of the response required
  • Experience in providing high quality, relevant and timely information and research for Executive audience
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
