Job Summary:

The Customer Marketing Manager will support delivery of the annual plan (volume/revenue/share) and execution of the marketing plan.

This position will manage concepting, development and execution in the shopper marketing space, as well as manage alignment of shopper strategy with core brand initiatives

Responsible for marketing activities conducted with retail customers in the Large Store & Small Store channels.

Responsible for equipping the National Sales team with shopper centric marketing plans, which are commercially viable, deliver ROI and meet the needs of our retail trade partners.

Core capabilities will include leveraging insights (market, consumer, competitive, channel) to identify and implement business building programs that cater to the needs of identified shopper missions.

Key Duties/Core Responsibilities:

Participates in the long term and short term planning and development of our shopper strategy, shopper missions and shopper marketing plans based on fact based shopper insights (25%)

Develops and implements insight driven Occasion Based strategies and partnership marketing programs that are tailored to meet the needs of both Coca-Cola and our retail trade partners (25%)

Collaborates with multiple internal and external stakeholder stakeholders (including Brand & Category Commercialization teams) to play a key role in the development of insight driven shopper marketing programs, targeting our shoppers and meeting our customers' retail strategies (25%)

Manages shopper marketing spend in accordance with program budgets; ensures productivity strong return on investment of all marketing activities; priority setting and execution (25%)


Consumer Acumen: knowledge of shopper purchasing behavior and ability to translate insights to action with effective shopper marketing programs

Priority Setting: proven track record for managing competing priorities and delivering sustainable results; leveraging insights to focus on the most important areas of opportunity

Decision Making: propensity for creative problem-solving and opportunity identification; leverages shopper insights to drive decision making

Strategic Thinking: aptitude for forward-looking vision and anticipation of future needs; ability to use strategic thinking skills and to integrate brand and shopper strategies into effective retail marketing programs

Collaborative: collaborating with brand/category teams and other key internal/external stakeholders; effective in influencing a wide variety of stakeholders

Strong Communication Skills: effectively communicates and builds relationships at all organizational levels

Position Requirements:

5 years' experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry

Experience in the retail channel, shopper marketing, brand marketing, sales and/or insights would all be suitable backgrounds, as would an agency background

Experience in POS development an asset (including knowledge of POS production processes, not limited to briefing, creative review and production management)

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are required

Bilingualism considered an asset

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Intermediate to Advanced MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills required

Domestic Travel: Approx 15%
