JOB DESCRIPTION

We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager in our Mississauga, ON location!

Reporting to the Director, Trade Sales, you will manage and implement brand strategies for the Central region. You will work closely with the business development team and other senior managers to support/develop sales and action plans, maintain and manage the region's budget(s), forecasting and project tracking process(es). You will develop positive relationships with all key customers, influencers and users, work closely with Masco's marketing, customer service, quotations and manufacturing/logistics groups, understand all segments and ensure all agencies have the appropriate resources to improve opportunities.

What you will do:

Grow, develop, mentor and advise a broader team including elements of growing the agency network

Support development/implementation of plans to increase sales force productivity/ optimization/simplification

Contribute to review and restructure of sales incentives/commission structure to influence behavior

Implement annual business / territory planning process with Agencies with aligned KPIs

Work with the Sales Finance team to develop agency dashboards

Support the Pipeline/ Opportunity Management Process within the Region

Develop/maintain/grow relationships with key influencers across various target segments

Investigate new channels of distribution and break through thinking as it relates to top line sales increase

Mentor and develop independent sales agencies to ensure Masco brands are given appropriate amount of attention and ensure understanding of market segments and influencers

Mentor and develop independent sales agencies in developing/implementing strategic action plans

Participate in product knowledge seminars with end-users which include lunch & learn contractor breakfasts, and site demonstrations

Ensure direct reports and sales agency efforts are targeted, productive and profitable.

Participate in various trade organizations such as CIPH, ASPE, CHES, NEWH, NKBA, OPIA, MCAT, Home Builders

Assist Director, Trade Sales and Vice President, Trade Sales in development of departmental goals/ objectives; recommends, implements, and coordinates policies/procedures to improve operations

Support annual budget planning process and regularly supervises expenditures

Maintain a favourable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, efficiency, and continued improvement

Work with BDM team to develop sales strategies/programs for various segments

Approve sample orders/display content and costs for showings requested by sales representatives

Build and implement plans to create pull through sales at the distributor level

Develop, in conjunction with Marketing and Brand, appropriate segment focused support tools (sales samples, presentations, literature, newsletters, promotions)

Influence product selection for major new residential/commercial construction projects in the region

Provide input on product gaps identified through feedback from the field (products, pricing....)

Actively participate in team calls, customer presentations, competitive intelligence, product training, sales team mentorship to optimally grow our share in each segment

Who you are:

Minimum 10 years' experience as senior sales representative or 5 years in sales management

Valid drivers' license

Analytical and skilled in competitive intelligence; computer literate

Highly motivated, driven and results oriented teammate

Ability to build relationships and deal with decision-makers

High energy level, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude

Customer oriented and polished, professional demeanor

Aptitude to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Confirmed business skills in budgeting, training, hiring, writing, communicating and selling to clients

Proven leadership, communication and listening skills

Skilled in working successfully with a complementary team of people

Entrepreneurial, hardworking and able to successfully thrive within a dynamic, progressive organization

Ability to lead meetings and present to large audiences

Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime as required

Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Sophisticated presentation and negotiation skills

Excellent time leadership skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word),

Excellent interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently

Bilingual

  • English/French would be beneficial

College Diploma, University Degree or related Trade Certification
