As the first point of contact for our customers you create the first impression of our brand. Because of this, you play a very important role in the satisfaction of our customers. You contribute to the operational efficiency of the sales department and to positive CSI results by promptly and warmly answering calls and directing clients to the appropriate Mercedes-Benz representative or department, contributing to an overall experience that exceeds expectations.

  • Represent the company with a high level of professionalism and courtesy. Maintain adherence to company standards of professional behaviour and presentation, including any uniform or attire requirements; comply with Mercedes-Benz and Daimler policies as well as local, provincial, and federal laws including those governing the rules of the road and health and safety
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry trends as well as any Mercedes-Benz Canada internal information as it relates to your role, department/location or the company
  • Provide customers with an unmatched ownership experience at all times; smile at each customer if you are within 10' and verbally greet within 5'
  • Promptly and warmly answer phone calls and directing the customer to the appropriate representative or department
  • Follow sales department processes and guidelines
  • Answer and manage all Sales phone lines including transferring inbound calls to the Business Development Center
  • Assist sales customers arriving at the front desk
  • Check in new and used vehicles and manage used car packages (or Lease-end Coordinator)
  • Maintain vehicle pouches and request missing documentation for vehicle including NVIS, PDI, books/service booklets. (or Sales Delivery Coordinator)
  • Maintain demo list in One-Eighty, O:Drive demo page, and RDE demos in VAX
  • Code daily (operational) invoices for management approval
  • Assign new customer numbers updating ADP
  • Coordinate and process all necessary documents for licensing vehicles including demos, trade ins and sold units
  • Update monthly schedule of sales department and track attendance
  • Coordinate and process customer payments, customer accounts, petty cash and operational cheque requisitions and submit to Accounting department. (or Sales Administrator)
  • Maintain and order office supplies/equipment and stationary
  • Distribute mail (interoffice, courier and regular mail) and coordinate courier pick ups
  • Ensure dealership voicemail is updated for closures, holidays and long weekends
  • Act as back-up for Sales Concierge and Service Receptionist
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required
  • Other duties as required by your local manager
  • In locations where sales volumes do not necessitate a Sales Administrator, the Sales Receptionist will also perform the following functions:
  • Update garage register
  • Coordinate logistics of monthly advertisements in local newspapers, magazines and various sponsorships (or Senior Sales Administrator)
  • Schedule training for sales department staff


  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong ability to take initiative, coupled with leadership skills and the ability to take charge of a situation
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability, with the desire to work as an integral member of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Computer skills: MS Office (Proficiency), One-Eighty or One-Eighty, LotusNotes (Proficiency)
