What You Will Do:

As the Manager, Communications, you will play an essential role within our Corporate Services & Stakeholder Relations Department, reporting to the Vice President. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing effective internal and external communication strategies and plans;
  • Managing company media interactions, including providing direction on media opportunities, responding to media inquiries, and acting as Company spokesperson;
  • Creating and executing strategies to increase employee awareness and engagement;
  • Preparing internal communication materials (presentations, speaking notes, newsletters, intranet, key messages etc.);
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders; and
  • Providing strategic communications advice to Company senior management.

What You Will Bring:

Required qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business or equivalent;
  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is preferred;
  • Greater than five (5) years' of professional communications experience and greater than three (3) years' experience in a managerial role;
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
  • Skilled in research and analysis of media data; and
  • Advanced knowledge in social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Preferred skills and qualifications :

  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
  • High level of organizational and planning skills.
