Job Title: Field Service Representative - Sewing Notions, Arts and Crafts Retail

Purpose: The Field Service Representative is responsible for scanning, organizing, servicing, and maintaining retail displays in key arts and crafts stores across Canada. The company reserves the right to modify or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed.

Rate of Pay: $20 - $22 per hour

Principal Accountabilities (Non-Big Box):

  • Scan backer cards and products.
  • Place products appropriately.
  • Perform scanning, sorting, organizing, and servicing of the relevant aisle.
  • Inform the Customer Service Manager if fixtures need to be repaired.
  • Support store staff in scanning and reorganizing products.
  • Visit and service retail store locations in a specific geographic area.
  • Report service performance to Customer Service Manager regularly; provide necessary information as required.
  • Develop and maintain store retail relationships in your territory, promoting H.A.Kidd's products.
  • Determine the best location for displays within each store for sales of all H.A.Kidd brand products and execute accordingly.
  • Follow company protocol on store visits using company-provided digital assets, if applicable.
  • Maintain product placement schematic integrity.
  • Accurately record and report product and chain-specific information, documenting daily activities and accomplishments.
  • Execute, maintain, and monitor all company-driven sales and marketing initiatives and programs.
  • Provide chain-specific information and communication daily.

Principal Accountabilities (Big Box):

  • Perform cleaning, restocking, sorting, organizing, and servicing of merchandise area.
  • Repair merchandise and repackage products for display on the retail sales floor.
  • Repair fixtures as required.
  • Support store staff in merchandising and display of products.
  • Visit and service retail store locations in a specific geographic area.
  • Report service performance to Customer Service Manager; take pictures of displays and transmit them to the In-Store Service Manager.

Requirements:

  • Provide ?Call Reports? on a daily / weekly basis
  • Weekly Call reports are Friday's at 4:00PM
  • Proven retail success promoting products at the retail level, preferably within the Arts and Crafts department.
  • Ability to form partnerships with store managers and provide compelling rationale for product displays and purchases.
  • Prior experience managing a large store territory and daily drive time.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-minded, and problem-solving while working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willing to learn, with a ?can-do? attitude, meticulous, team player, flexible, and quick learner.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Clean driving record - background check will be conducted.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Live within territory boundaries as established; may require minimal overnight travel depending on the territory.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others in a positive manner.
  • Meet work demands and expectations in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent interaction with store staff and customers.
  • Use any necessary tools or equipment for the job (e.g., pallet jack).
