WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator, Fundraising to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Marketing and Development Officer, the Marketing Coordinator, Fundraising will support the Signature Fundraising Programs portfolio. This position requires collaborating with internal departments to develop fundraising materials and coordinating special projects. Additionally, they will support the team with the daily management of the P2P platform (Donor Drive), including page builds, maintenance, reporting, tracking, and creative support.

This role can be based out of Toronto or Pickering and is a full-time, 14-month contract, hybrid position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Signature Fundraising Programs:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to assist with the development and/or coordination of signature fundraising program materials (toolkits, training documents, communication plans, creative materials, etc.).
  • Provide support/assistance for special projects, including email marketing, data analysis, event audits, and new program research and development.

P2P/Data Management:

  • Support in building custom and standard event fundraising pages within the Donor Drive platform.
  • Assist with internal training, participant support, requests, and tracking.
  • Prepare reports for departments on fundraising initiatives, as requested.
  • Manage the internal Peer-to-Peer mailbox, tracking all requests/workload.
  • Enter and track all Peer-to-Peer requests for transparency of workload and SLA commitment.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, copy editing, meeting minutes, tracking follow-ups, updating critical paths, etc.
  • Develop strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders (National Office, Regional Offices, Integrated Marketing Department, partners/sponsors/donors, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-secondary education in fundraising/event management/marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1-2 years work experience in the fundraising and/or event management area, preferably in a multi-level organization within diverse communities.
  • Experience working with the fundraising database Donor Drive considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and good judgement.
  • Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills. Flexibility with changing
  • priorities and ability to remain focused to meet targeted timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and related
  • search engines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships within the office and across the organization, ensuring a teamwork approach.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change in the workplace and be innovative.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work environment (2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week) with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours during peak season to attend fundraising events.

Physical/Mental Effort

  • Works under pressure with multiple tight deadlines, demands, high volume workload, and dynamic/overlapping priorities.
