The International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) is recruiting a Director, Production and Experience to join the Production and Logistics team. The Director, Production and Experience will report to the Chief operation officer.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervision of all production and logistics of events organized by the Employer, ensuring the best interests of the organization, its partners, sponsors, clients and speakers
  • Supervision of production and logistics team
  • Research and selection of service providers, coordination of calls for tenders as needed, negotiation of contracts and implementation of performance measures
  • Liaison with service providers and coordination of contractual, logistical and technical aspects
  • Implementation of work strategies, supervision of work and evaluation of the results of services received from suppliers (audio-visual, staging, layout, technique, signage, videography, photography, translation, reception team, registration, etc.)
  • Project management – including budgets, room plans, F&B needs, logistical scenarios, production schedule, graphic design, participation, invitations to private events, travel and land transport (drivers/cars) in conjunction with the security director
  • Assist in implementing a targeted and mass participation strategy and monitoring the results in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Recruitment of temporary staff and volunteers for events
  • Managing the customer experience in collaboration with management, communications, content and partner relations teams
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for the eco-responsibility of events and their social and economic impacts (CSR, ESG, etc.)
  • Contribute to the preservation of the high-end mandate of the events both in the brand image and in the service provided to customers and participants
  • Work together with other departments to achieve a common objective

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • University diploma in business administration (operations management), logistics, or any other discipline deemed relevant and/or any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent and/or relevant will be taken into consideration.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a relevant field such as hospitality or events;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Due to the international nature of our events and the fact that the IEFA organises events in French, English and Spanish, the successful candidate must be fluent in French and English (oral and written). Fluency in Spanish is an asset but not essential
  • Organisation, great attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently, while demonstrating ingenuity and having a highly developed sense of initiative
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and work under pressure
  • No constraint to traveling abroad occasionally for events
  • Ability to establish and maintain solid and lasting relationships with various stakeholders
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an asset
  • Knowledge of CRM and Zoho is an asset
  • Dynamism, creativity and team spirit

Location: This position is located in our downtown Montreal office. Possibility of hybrid working.

Start date: Early September 2024
