Junior Graphic Designer

Junior Graphic Designer Or as we like to say, Digital Sourcerer!

We're looking for a creative visual specialist to join our diverse & vibrant team. Rümi is a bright new member of the ATCO family and operates multiple lines of business under the Rümi umbrella: Rümi Home Services, ATCOenergy, Blue Flame Kitchen and Fresh Bites.

The fierce and friendly marketing team works to support all three lines of business through digital and traditional marketing campaigns, internal and external communications, and brand development. Reporting to the Manager, Masterbrand & Content, this position will work on graphic design projects related to all three lines of business: ATCOenergy, Blue Flame Kitchen and Rümi home services.

On a daily basis, you'll work on

Graphic Design

• Assisting in the design and production of visual assets for digital and print materials, including but not limited to social media graphics, marketing collateral, presentations, and advertisements.
• Supporting motion graphics and animation needs for videos, presentations, and other multimedia projects.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet objectives and deadlines.
• Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design and motion design to continuously improve skills and techniques.
• Supporting the maintenance and organization of design files and assets to ensure efficient workflow and project continuity.

Production

• Modifying and revise existing designs to meet client needs or to improve design quality
• Performing press checks and reviewing proofs
• Trafficking assets to external partners as required
• Maintaining a digital asset management system

Brand Standards

• Ensuring that all graphic design work follows identity guidelines
• Supporting the Manager, Masterbrand in maintaining/updating brand standards
• Ordering and maintaining swag for the marketing team and lines of business
• Contributing to the development and standardization of design and style elements
• Ensuring all graphic design work goes through proper approvals before being produced

What you're great at:

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and other principles of graphic design.
• Familiarity with video editing software and techniques is a plus

What you have:

• Post-secondary degree in graphic design, informational design, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years' experience working in graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Proficiency with Office Suite (word, excel, and powerpoint);
• Motion design experience would be considered an asset.
