OVERVIEW

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a talented Internal Communications Specialist to transform the way we engage employees in the organization. In this position, you will implement and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals in the Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division and constant improvement of tools, processes, and engagement initiatives.

While part of the Marketing Communications team in Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, this position will join a high-performance team focused on creating impactful Marketing that inspires confidence in our company and technologies.

Our customers rely on Hexagon A&P's industry-leading technology when building their own solutions. This position may be a great fit if you are a self-starter and desire to use your communication skills to engage employees at all levels of the organization under one voice.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This is a hybrid position is based in Calgary, Alberta. We will consider remote work, in Canada or the US, for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Internal Communications Specialist, responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy tailored to the business needs, including messaging, communication channels, and diverse tactics.
  • Create and distribute engaging internal communications content, including announcements, newsletters, blog and social posts, videos, and presentations.
  • Coordinate both on-site and virtual internal events and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure internal communication remains clear, consistent, and aligned with the strategic direction of the business.
  • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of internal communications through feedback and data analysis, proposing improvements accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain a dynamic content calendar, ensuring the timeliness and relevance of internal communications.
  • Identify innovative approaches to foster employee engagement.
  • Assist with crisis communications efforts, ensuring timely and comprehensive information dissemination to all employees.
  • Enhance the usability and relevance of the business internal communication tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or advertising.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing.
  • Proven experience with Internal Communications.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • The role may involve up to 20% travel. May require international travel for events.
