We're looking for a social media expert to create and ultimately produce for our social media channels. You have a passion for PC®, points and pursuing the details? This Social Media Content Creator role will ideate and conceptualize for the PC Financial and PC Optimum portfolios. This role is an integral part of our newly created enterprise Social Media Centre of Excellence (SCOE)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with Loblaw's brand partners, and the Loblaw Agency Creative Director to understand the business needs in relationship to paid and organic social content, and to provide expert opinions on social strategy.
  • Leading our Masterbrand Division (President's Choice, PC Optimum, PC Financial.) to develop social media content (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc.) including strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement and grow our audience.
  • Shoot, edit and star in lifestyle and food- photos and videos, edit your own content, and apply graphic elements such as titles and overlays as needed.
  • Play-test and implement concepts for social media channels, and ensure content is collected and used effectively across relevant platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, copywriters, and content managers to brainstorm content ideas.
  • Pitch, storyboard, present and champion ideas and concepts to senior team members, and assist in clearly defining the production requirements for each project.
  • Organizing, producing, scheduling, setting up shot lists, and coordinating with the respective team to complete shoots for product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Research and provide recommendations based on standard methodologies as well as industry and consumer trends, to support the ongoing development of organic social strategy and playbook.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • This position requires initiative, creativity and a high level of judgment to ensure the social community is informed, engaged, and feels heard.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently conceptualize, lifestyle and food style, shoot and edit in social tools all on your own.
  • Passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable about social media and its application to food / grocery businesses.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with impeccable proofreading and grammatical skills.
  • Ability to have a strong and authoritative voice in strategy meetings with senior leadership.
  • Detail oriented, highly hard-working and a great teammate, with positive demeanor and high energy level
  • A passion for food and brand marketing
  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a college diploma or university degree in marketing, media or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of social media tools and listening platforms (ie. Social Studios)
  • 3+ years proven Social Media experience
