(pronounced 'one idea') is a Kingston, ON-based marketing and creative agency specializing in visual brand identities, conversion-driven websites, and custom graphic design. For the past 18 years, we've supported various clients in industries such as government, tourism, healthcare, not-for-profit, B2B, B2C, and education. We seek an exceptionally detailed, strategic, and highly talented Intermediate Graphic Designer to support our Graphic Design team.

Overall, you'll find our team highly collaborative, with a genuine passion for creating outstanding work for our clients. Our team comprises senior-level designers, a Creative Director, front/backend developers, and project managers. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for designing and developing high-quality graphics for print, web, emails, and social media. You'll be an essential team member, supporting senior designers in carrying projects from concept to completion.

Daily Tasks

Web and UI/UX Design:

• Create wireframes and concepts for websites
• Design user interfaces (UI) focusing on user experience (UX), conversion, and interaction design
• Build page layouts directly in the WordPress staging environment (no coding needed)

Visual Identity and Branding:

• Design visual identity systems, including logo concepts
• Develop visual identity collateral and branding guidelines

Graphic Design:

• Design traditional and interactive graphics, including reports, digital publications, signage, illustrations, and digital marketing graphics
• Apply changes to existing graphic design projects
• Prepare files for print production

Skills & Experience

• A degree or diploma (Graphic Design)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing, web development, or creative agency environment
• Advanced-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (XD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) is essential. Experience with website prototyping tools and video editing software (Figma, Premiere, After Effects) is a plus.
• Will be up-to-date with the latest trends in design, UX/UI, marketing, and conversion optimization best practices (no coding/development required)
• Strong storytelling and brand strategy skills to create visual stories that engage and inspire
• Ability to remain solutions-focused and positive during times of urgency
• Laser-sharp attention to detail
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work closely with our Creative Director and be receptive to ongoing feedback for growth and development
• Adaptability and continuous learning mindset to stay current with design trends and tools
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt immediately to changing priorities with multiple concurrent projects (with client interaction and management predominantly handled by our project managers)

Throughout the year, we plan in-person get-togethers that combine both work and play. We understand that not all team members will be located near our Kingston, Ontario location, and we respect that in-person events may not be possible for everyone.
