About the Team:

AGF's Marketing & Innovation team is responsible for delivering timely and effective marketing, communications, digital and product initiatives and programs that support respective business priorities, partners and ultimately AGF's clients. The team builds and maintains trusted partner relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders to achieve a collaborative mindset and united approach to client engagement.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Product Officer, the Vice President, Marketing will lead the execution of AGF's marketing strategy for the company's complete range of client segments globally. This individual will develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive, large-scale marketing plans and initiatives to promote the full range of AGF's investment capabilities across different channels. As a leader in the team, they will have frequent interactions with executive and senior leadership team members throughout the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop a dynamic marketing strategy that drives and supports AGF's overall business goals, as we grow and scale and diversify our business into new investment capabilities, client channels and jurisdictions.
  • Take a results and data-driven approach, monitoring, measuring and improving marketing strategies as needed and to keep pace with current and future trends.
  • Oversee comprehensive content and product marketing programs, including across different marketing channels: website, campaigns, digital and in person events, industry conferences, and social media.
  • Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans in association with Retail Distribution and business partners and lead the marketing team to align, plan, and execute including overseeing management of end-to-end campaign processes to drive new business.
  • Build strong relationships by connecting regularly with senior Retail Distribution, Investment Management and Product partners as well as other stakeholders within the business to provide updates on all marketing activity and obtain feedback on how to optimize initiatives.
  • Serve as the senior member of the team, including management of a multi-level team of junior/mid-level employees, and encouraging continued growth of team members especially in digital transformation.
  • Develop credibility and trust through consistent delivery of quality content across channels and mediums.
  • Participate in various industry body working groups and actively engage with industry associations.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in managing marketing strategy within the investment industry with demonstrated positive impact on business results.
  • A savvy digital marketer with a proven ability to integrate all channels and mediums into the marketing of investment products and solutions for retail and institutional distribution channels globally.
  • Experienced leader of a team of marketing professionals, highly collaborative and client-centric with the ability to lead change while influencing and inspiring the team and broader organization.
  • Financial services industry knowledge as well as product knowledge (equities, fixed income, alternative investment solutions) is a must along with awareness of changes and opportunities in the asset management sector.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with digital marketing tools, SEO and related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related business field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
