Job Description:

Baseball Development Group is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team in a dual role as a Pitching Coach and Marketing Specialist. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baseball, with a strong background in pitching, as well as skills in marketing, computer literacy, and social media management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement training programs for pitchers of all ages and skill levels while also contributing to the growth and visibility of our facility through strategic marketing efforts. Candidates must be local to the facility's location. Role includes work from home opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Pitching Coach Duties:

  • Develop and implement pitching training programs tailored to individual skill levels and goals.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group pitching sessions, focusing on technique, mechanics, and performance improvement.
  • Utilize video analysis and other technology tools like Rapsoda, PitchAI, HitTrax, etc. to assess and enhance pitching performance.
  • Monitor and track the progress of athletes, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary.
  • Work with BDG team on collaborative research projects
Marketing and Social Media Duties:
  • Create and execute marketing strategies to promote pitching programs and facility events.
  • Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) by creating engaging content, including posts, videos, and stories.
  • Develop and maintain the facility's website, ensuring it is up-to-date with current programs, schedules, and promotions.
  • Utilize digital marketing tools such as email campaigns, online ads, and SEO strategies to increase visibility and attract new clients.
  • Analyze marketing data and social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a pitching coach, preferably with experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
  • Strong understanding of pitching mechanics, techniques, and training methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Current student acceptable
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including experience with video analysis software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Wordpress and related website management tools, .
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with athletes of all ages.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, etc.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
  • Knowledge of the local baseball community and existing networks within the sport.
