We're seeking a creative, results-oriented analytical thinker to be our Digital Marketing Coordinator and support our organization in that journey. You have a passion for building a great organizational brand while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. You are confident and pride yourself on your customer service and project management skills, and people often come to you for counsel and advice.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will oversee the content management and communications aspects of the city's digital channels. This includes using analytics to help plan organic and paid digital media campaigns, then evaluate and adjust them to achieve the best results. The person in this position will also work collaboratively with a team of communications professionals and subject matter experts across the organization to make sure the City's website is on-brand, messaging is clear, and information is easily accessible. You'll be expected to coordinate and manage web content, monitor its performance, and conduct regular content reviews to ensure it meets citizens' information needs.

What YOU'RE Responsible for:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance and updating of content on the City's website to ensure consistency with web standards for accessibility, voice, readability, and relevance.
  • Coordinate, execute, and report on digital marketing campaigns across a wide range of channels, including the website, social media, inbound marketing, and digital search and display advertising.
  • Support the planning and implementation of the City's paid digital media campaigns using demographic, geographic, psychographic and other data to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Help maintain the City's social media channels by scheduling, publishing, and monitoring content as the organization engages with residents and businesses.
  • Ensure website best practices are put into place for content and navigational workflows.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on digital marketing data including, but not limited to, web traffic, social media engagements, conversion rates, and audience behaviours to help the City make strategic decisions.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to the information architecture based on user behaviour data.
  • Create and maintain the clean, user friendly design and layout of webpages, with content following a logical flow for users.
  • Recommend new web content ideas and topics to feature based on user need and the City's strategic priorities.
  • Help create, manage, and maintain reporting systems on the current health, progress and growth of our website with a focus on website data through Google Analytics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong working experience with a wide range of CMS and CRM platforms including but not limited to social media/digital marketing solutions such as Squarespace, Wordpress, Hootsuite, SEMrush, Google Analytics and Visual Data Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of website best practices for Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, and accessibility.
  • Strong working experience planning and executing organic and paid campaigns using Meta and Google Ads.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in integrated digital marketing and communications campaign development.
  • Experience with digital media monitoring and analytics programs/reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic working knowledge with HTML, CSS and web design/development standards would be considered an asset.
What YOU Bring:
  • Minimum five (3) years experience in marketing communications, with a core focus on digital.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience working on a project team that has successfully developed, implemented, and optimized digital marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience working on social media campaigns, paid digital (display and search) and website content updates/workflows.
  • Diploma or degree in marketing communications, with a focus on digital marketing and web content development.
  • Project management experience, skills and training considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a municipal or public service environment not necessary but would be considered an asset.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check deemed satisfactory by the City

  • A salary range of $65,720.20 - $85,740.20 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)
