SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Defines the NFB’s brand-management vision in all its forms, communicates it and supports internal and external collaborators in adopting it. Ensures brand guidelines are followed and applied in a consistent, cohesive and respectful manner that’s aligned with the organization’s values. Combines creativity and strategy in adapting and directing the production of B2C and B2B promotional and advertising materials in order to present the NFB and its strategic directions in a consistent manner; oversees the production of institutional promotional materials. Provides strategic advice and support to Marketing and Communications teams. Contributes to the common goals of PCDM and the NFB, working closely with management and colleagues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops strategies to refresh the brand and align its concepts with organizational objectives; offers strategic advisory services in brand management.
  • Works closely with the Communications and Marketing teams to promote the consistent and innovative application of the brand; if necessary, proposes adaptations to the editorial approach and tone based on the audience and platform.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the creation and production of NFB brand promotional campaigns; collaborates with various internal teams for campaign launches.
  • Supervises and guides internal and external collaborators in executing campaign projects that require the development and production of institutional promotional materials or other visibility tools.
  • Helps optimize the visibility of the NFB and its productions in collaboration with relevant sectors of the organization.
  • Reviews policies and procedures regarding the application of brand image.
  • Evaluates the expressive dimensions of the brand as well as the semantic aspects of visual brand products to favourably convey and position the NFB brand image.
  • Communicates to PCDM staff the objectives and strategies to be emphasized in relation to the NFB brand image.
  • Prepares and delivers information sessions to staff members and other collaborators to inform them about the NFB brand image and equip them with the use of its elements in accordance with established standards.
  • Establishes and maintains graphic control standards for the NFB brand image.
  • Conducts analyses to measure customer satisfaction levels regarding deliverables and services provided.
  • Identifies and selects competent external resources that are compatible with projects and with the NFB for specific tasks (writers, art directors, directors), and negotiates contracts for these collaborators.
  • Controls expenses and helps manage budget allocation, in collaboration with management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications and a minimum of eight years of experience, or equivalent combination;
  • In-depth knowledge and concrete experience in brand management;
  • Agency experience is a significant asset;
  • Experience in developing visibility campaigns, organizational awareness and/or marketing campaigns;
  • Bilingualism in the official languages (French and English), both orally and in writing.
