How will you contribute?
In this job, you will design, plan and implement the end-to-end talent acquisition strategies for openings at all levels across the Senate. You will collaborate with hiring managers to source, screen, assess and select candidates based on a sound understanding of the organization's needs. This is a people centric role with a focus on providing managers and candidates with an exemplary hiring experience and enhance the visibility of the Senate as an employer of choice for top talent across Canada. Other responsibilities include:
- Providing creative and professional talent acquisition solutions in order to develop diverse talent pipelines and ensure the continued attraction of top talent across Canada;
- Preparing job postings for internal and external websites, sourcing and screening resumes, supporting candidate selection processes and initiating employee onboarding;
- Acting as the Senate's brand advisor, creating marketing and branding strategies as well as tools to promote the Senate to Canadians as an exciting employer;
- Developing assessment tools and supporting assessments during the selection process;

The general public to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent, full-time) position in the Human Resources Directorate.
This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites
- Successful completion of a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or another related field, OR an acceptable combination of education and experience related to the specialized activities;
- Significant experience in conducting the full cycle recruitment for various levels of talent across a range of functions;
- Experience building relationships and networks with key customers and organizations, including post-secondary institutions, professional and industry associations, and professional services firms;
- Experience in making talent acquisition recommendations and providing expert advice on people centric programs, policies and initiatives;
- Significant knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment theories, principles, concepts, and strategies;
- Knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment best practices and industry trends, labour market trends, and talent availability;
- Knowledge of sourcing tools including social media, professional networking sites and associations;
- Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills as well as teamwork competencies to understand customer needs, develop effective talent acquisition solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
