We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in the Belledune, New Brunswick Area.

Admin & Communication Assistant, Brunswick Smelter

The individual selected for the role will handle professional administrative, planning, and organizational tasks for the project team and maintain productive communication and engagement with stakeholders associated with the Brunswick Smelter project. The individual in this position will collaborate with the wider North America Closed Sites Team to guarantee adherence to Glencore's strategic goals.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Provides administration support and assistance primarily for the Project Director, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute taking, training coordination, making travel arrangements, preparing PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Support the Reclamation Teams in the development and execution of communication and stakeholder engagement plans as they occur.
  • Assists with planning, promoting, and delivery of events, including venue sourcing, travel logistics, etc.
  • Assists in promoting North America Closed Sites vision, goals, and activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains the communication database for external stakeholder's feedback.
  • Assists with the preparation of permit applications and other related information.
  • Assists in preparing information for communication materials such as newsletter articles, websites, marketing emails, social media content, and videos.

Qualifications:

  • Three to Five years of relevant experience in providing professional administrative support, including planning and coordinating events.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field from a recognized institution preferred. (E.g. Associates degree)
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, preferably in both English and French. English is required.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
