Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Creative and Digital Marketing, this 12 months contract position is responsible for in-house design and development of internal and external marketing and communications print, digital & multimedia materials that are innovative, engaging and aligned with our corporate design standards. In collaboration with product owners and the creative team, this role will produce materials that are consistent with strengthening HOOPP's internal and external brand identity through multiple channels.

  • NOTE: Position is for 12 months contract.

What you will do:

  • Support design and development of creative concepts for internal and external channels including print, digital and social
  • Strong understanding of digital design, UI and UX
  • Layout of reports and documents
  • Logo and brand identity design and implementation for internal and external materials
  • Ability to work with illustration and use illustration to tell stories where photography is not an option
  • Confirm design files are properly prepared for final output
  • Ensure corporate design standards and appropriate document management processes are adhered to in production of all print and electronic materials
  • Work closely with multiple members of the Creative, Digital and Strategic & Communications teams to ensure designs are effectively aligned with project objectives, and the appropriate creative brief
  • Supporting the development of creative assets for, print and digital such as photography asset searches, iconography and banner graphics
  • Manage the inventory of design assets and maintain our DAM tool and respond to requests for logos, stock photography and other creative assets as needed
  • Assist in production tasks as needed

What you bring:

  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent communication and listening skills, and a professional desire to seek out constructive feedback in order to support ongoing development
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment (prior experience working within a team-based Agile delivery environment is an asset for this role)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, combined with a passion for delivering an exceptional customer service experience to both internal team members and external business clients
  • High attention to detail, combined with a proven ability to deliver team-based results through ambiguity
  • Desire to grow and expand existing skillsets based on evolving business needs
  • 2-4 years of corporate design work and / or agency experience, as demonstrated through a strong portfolio
  • Completed post-secondary education with emphasis in design
  • Strong understanding of UI / UX with the ability to use Adobe XD and Figma to develop wireframes and high-fidelity mockups
  • Highly proficient with current versions of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop,), working in both PC and Mac operating systems
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS an asset
  • Knowledge and proven ability to integrate and work within UX/UI design principles an asset
  • Knowledge of Motion Graphics and Video an asset
