Higher Ground Education is bringing on a Senior Director of Growth Marketing


The Senior Director of Growth Marketing, will lead driving customer acquisition and enrollment growth regionally and globally across all of our brick & mortar and virtual offerings. You will be joining a talented team of marketers, entrepreneurs and experts in education to level up our marketing and drive ongoing enrollment growth to help the company achieve its mission and goals.

You will work closely with our teams across School Growth, School Success Admissions, and Operations to ensure campaigns are executed to meet our objectives. This individual will:

  • Become a Product Expert: You will become well-versed in learning about each product vertical and define how we message the value proposition of each product that you are working on. You will understand who is the audience and where they live to create messaging and marketing efforts that resonate and breakthrough
  • Become a Channel Growth Expert: Be able to strategize and execute across all user acquisition channels. You will get comfortable with paid acquisition channels (Facebook, Google) and understand the power of email marketing, re-engagement/re-targeting. It is your responsibility to unlock growth through new opportunities, such as emerging channels (TikTok, Reddit, Influencers...)

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Deeply understand and define growth KPIs and ad spend metrics based on unit economics, including a view on CAC, LTV and ROAS to inform our paid acquisition strategy
  • Build organizational capability around growth marketing as a function, and develop a team of growth marketers who will disrupt the education landscape with brilliant market that captures the attention of our target audience
  • Bring expertise in paid and organic marketing channels that can help to elevate and level-up our current growth marketing tactics
  • Constantly obsess over rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization that helps to define our marketing playbook and approach
  • Bring a proactive, growth mindset of "figuring it out" that helps improve our capability in driving business outcomes to continually improve
  • Directly impact enrollment growth goal on particular product verticals and develop the strategies to meet and exceed business targets
  • Provide ongoing analysis of pricing, ad spend and ROI to optimize existing marketing efforts and to unite the cross-functional team behind clear business objectives
  • Test and iterate on user acquisition and growth methods to drive outsized enrollment growth on your product verticals
  • Interface with leadership stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Admissions, and School Success to gather and understand business and program requirements
  • Bring ideas to the table for how we continue to grow and optimize our marketing efforts broadly
  • Stay up to date with the latest growth marketing tactics to continue to improve our marketing capabilities over time


We'd love to talk to you if you have...

  • 8+ year's professional marketing experience in growth marketing, demand generation or digital marketing at SaaS companies, high-growth start-up organizations (B2C or Edtech is a bonus)
  • Strong Proficiency with writing and an ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. While we have an editing team, you will be required to write email or ad copy at times because you will be closest to the product and customer
  • Comfortable analyzing data and providing business recommendations
  • Experience using elements of the following marketing tech stack: Unbounce, Instapage, HotJar, Ah Refs, Google Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce, Calendly
  • Proficiency with ad platforms such as Facebook and Google, and other elements of the marketing mix (including traditional and digital channels)
  • Ability to own projects and perform detailed analysis of business requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, a sense of curiosity, and a good sense of humor
