Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director at the head office, the Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in advancing Stokes Inc.'s brand identity and visual communication strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for creating compelling visual content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with the company's marketing objectives and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative assets for marketing campaigns, product packaging, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to conceptualize and execute engaging visual content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Create and maintain design templates, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
  • Utilize expertise in packaging design and printing techniques, with a focus on home goods, to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Proficiently use Adobe Suite software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) to execute design projects with precision and creativity.
  • Demonstrate mastery in Photoshop to enhance product images, create mock-ups, and refine visual elements as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, printers, and suppliers to oversee the production process and ensure the quality of printed materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to continually elevate the quality and relevance of Stokes Inc.'s visual assets.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to the overall success of the Marketing department and the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in the retail or consumer goods
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong understanding of packaging design, printing techniques, and die-lines, particularly within the home goods sector.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with an emphasis on Photoshop
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly adaptable, creative, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented individual with a good tolerance for change.
