What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Sr VP Marketing, we are looking for a Director, Content and Brand Marketing to join our team. You'll lead the strategy and oversee the execution of brand and content marketing for our global community; including blog, video, newsletter, social, events, PR and influencer marketing. You'll oversee a team that creates compelling and engaging content recognizing company priorities, while helping people get inspired, grow, and connect with Later.

You will build an audience that converts; scaling and optimizing our organic acquisition channels, expanding our brand positioning, building brand awareness and affinity. You will work cross-functionally to ensure alignment across all partners, including product marketing, growth marketing and creative. In this role, you'll bring an insights-based decision making and audience-first mindset, along with expertise in building narratives and driving engagement on digital platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a vision for Later's content and brand excellence and drive the organization to achieve it. Design and execute a content strategy, with an emphasis on education, that delivers on our business goals
  • Ensure all content is adding value and on-brand, and oversee the content calendar and roadmap. Build alignment with growth, product marketing and creative teams ensuring a consistent experience
  • Leverage data and SEO insights to develop content themes/topics to measure and optimize performance, and ensure an efficient workflow for creating, editing, publishing and measuring content performance. Identify trends within our content and the wider ecosystem, and incorporate them accordingly
  • Manage the content and brand budget. Advocate for the resources and infrastructure needed to deliver on our vision
  • Managing brand marketing team, including social, PR/Influencer team members and activations Oversee content team, including managing and scaling a high traffic media property with millions of visitsEvolve and execute on our brand framework narrative, positioning, and messaging
  • Mentor, Coach, Leader: You're a people-first leader who is capable of developing talent, expertise, and collaboration to create an inclusive environment. This role will manage a team of eight and growing
  • Identify emerging trends in social & tech, with an emphasis on visual content, Instagram, TikTok etc

Need to Haves:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in a content and brand marketing roles, with at least 4 years' experience leading a team in a senior role
  • Ability to flex between strategy and execution
  • Ability to make every possible effort to get things done
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, influence, and project management skills, with the ability to set goals and prioritize initiatives with minimal guidance
  • Experience leading and inspiring teams of content creators and brand marketers
  • Firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills

Nice to Haves:

  • SaaS, tech industry experience with deep knowledge of social networks and visual content strongly desired

Salary Range

  • $122,000 to $143,000
