Sales & Account Management Lead

Purpose:

The ideal candidate is more than comfortable working with multiple sales teams with differing goals and activities, is capable of effectively managing a pipeline, and has a proven track record of exceeding quota's while coaching and mentoring a team of New Sales and Account Management Representatives. They also have experience navigating through organizations, doing deep discovery and speaking to multiple decision makers.

This role manages the front-line team covering the entire sales cycle as well as managing the team that maintains relationships with current customers in multiple segments. Coaching and Mentoring their teams to help them, and Thomson Reuters build valuable, lasting relationships with our customers using our world class legal solutions. There are two key drivers that you will be measured on, the new sales results for your Sales team, and the retention efforts of your Account Management team. The role will also work with the Industry Insights team to share market insights, and tailor their sales work to suit the needs of professional service firms of all sizes and corporate counsel in Canada.

This position is responsible for:

  • new sales team quotas in a specific market segment;
  • account retention in multiple market segments;
  • remaining on top of the market trends, news, and insights to aide in targeting and impressing new customers, building profile in the market and representing at internal events;
  • building a strategy to connect with legal customers and associations of all sizes and geographies to build profile, community and generate opportunities for TR Legal Canada solutions;
  • mentoring and coaching a Sales team and Account Managers to research, identify, and tenaciously generate new opportunities weekly;
  • effective Pipeline management and Sales Force effectiveness;
  • managing the team's expected volume of cold calling activity and follow-up;
  • qualifying leads and building relationships via phone/email with potential customers;
  • accurately logging interactions and information in our current CRM system; and
  • other duties as directed by the General Manager.

You will be a strong team player and will possess:

  • management experience;
  • a minimum of 3 years sales management experience;
  • CRM, inside sales and enterprise prospecting experience is preferred;
  • exceptional written/verbal communication skills;
  • exceptional organizational, time-management, collaborative, and problem-solving skills;
  • full-time sales experience
  • software sales is a plus; and
  • experience using a CRM system / marketing automation system to track activities.

Knowledge of the legal industry will be considered an asset.
