  • Provide strategic counsel in matters of communications and public relations in support of executives;
  • Partner with operational business areas to develop and execute communications action plans;
  • Proactively seek media coverage and respond to media requests;

Manage donations, sponsorships, and advertising;

  • Partner on various special projects pertaining to internal and external communications;
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to implement and execute the company's internal and external communication strategies;
  • Network and represent Pomerleau at events;
  • Manage the planning and organization of special activities and corporate events;
  • Research, write, and edit a wide range of content for internal and external audiences, including website and intranet copy, etc,;
  • Monitor and collaborate on the communications budget;
  • Partner with Business Development and Government Relations teams;
  • Measure marketing campaigns/initiatives to help shape future marketing strategies;
  • Assistance with completion of general marketing and communications support tasks, as required.

What YOU Will Bring

  • Degree or Diploma in communications, marketing, public relations or other relevant field;
  • 7-10 years of experience in both an external and internal communications environment;
  • Located in Ottawa or the GTA with the ability to travel throughout Ontario;
  • Superior organizational skills, highly efficient, detail-oriented, and productive;
  • Clear and logical thinking; ability to dissect detailed information and simplify it for a large and varied audience;
  • Highly adaptable; ability to work in fast paced and quickly changing situations with diverse individuals and groups;
  • Openness to change; champions new ideas and transformational change;
  • Bilingual (English & French) considered an asset;
  • Exceptional writing skills;
  • Knowledge of Adobe suite software considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of the construction industry considered an asset.
