DUTIES:
- Supports the on-boarding and off-boarding employees to the cellular device program.
- Communicates with the cellular vendor for the purchase, change and cancellation of cellphones and mobile devices services. Manages suspended cell phone numbers and activation of these numbers.
- Identifies and recommends optimal plan for the users and regularly monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the plan.
- Enrolls cellular devices with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and verifies the MDM is successfully implemented in all cell phones.
- Provides user support for installations, troubleshooting, on-boarding training, wifi connectivity, corporate applications an when necessary data wiping.
- Supports the administration process of cell phone eligibility.
- Manages BYOD plan with the City to ensure only eligible employees are taking advantage of the plan.
- Monitors, tracks and verifies invoices to ensure they are accurate and that expenditures are within approved budgets.
- Provides operational management of contract to identify anything that is outside the norm such as overage of use, extra charges like charges incurred when traveling out-of-country, suspensions of devices that are inactive for a long duration of time.
- Evaluates current processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement.
- Works with the device vendor to ensure that devices procured are supported by our MDM technology.
- Provides advice and guidance to users to maximize use of cellular phones and services.
- Provides first level user support for installations, troubleshooting, on-boarding training, wifi connectivity, corporate applications an when necessary data wiping.
- Manages the inventory of the cellular phones and accessories.
- Ensures adherence to Corporate and Department policies, procedures, standards and relevant legislation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 education
- Graduation from a recognized business college.
- Four years' related experience.
- Considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deal courteously, tactfully and effectively with customers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Skill in the operations of a computer with word-processing, spreadsheet and database software.
- Highly proficient in use of all types of mobiles devices.
- Ability to learn new technology.
Salary:
$54, 670.56 to $60, 274.32 per annum (2020 rates)
