Role Overview

Gilead Canada is seeking a Senior Manager of Sales & Marketing Operations to join our dynamic and innovative Commercial Operations team, based out of the Mississauga Office.

Reporting into the Director, Analytics & Forecasting, the Senior Manager of Sales & Marketing Operations will own elements and make key contributions to Sales Force Effectiveness, Sales Enablement and Marketing Operations for multiple Business Units, as well as support the development and implementation of a forward-looking vision for the area.

As a key member of the commercial organization, the role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, commercial operations and IT, to improve and enhance our strong operational infrastructure to drive commercial effectiveness and support a growing team.

The ideal candidate will have strong subject matter expertise, work as a collaborative strategic partner, with creative problem-solving approach, implementing best practice, and improving our ability to support our customers in providing optimum patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership of key organizational strategic planning processes including alignment with Global POA processes and templates and local ownership of annual roadmap creation and execution.
  • Measurement and Monitoring of the impact of marketing tactics.
  • Manage lifecycle of promotional tools from ideation to creation, approval, optimal usage, storage and ultimately discontinuation.
  • Own the execution of the Promotional Research Compliance (PRC) process through consistent application SOP, understanding of the submission & approval process, support of approvals through Veeva Vault.
  • Lead and manage selection of optimum fit vendors to support development of SFE and Marketing effectiveness.
  • Subject matter expert, contributing to Sales force territory planning & cross functional key account management process, including championing the process working in partnership with sales leadership and supporting the sales force use of Business Tools to enhance territory analytics and planning.
  • SME for Canadian Salesforce CRM system, working closely with Global teams. Includes leading customer targeting initiatives and consulting with internal stakeholder to determine business requirements and collaborate with CFT to develop new tools / processes that enhance Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE).
  • Collaborates with sales and marketing to define & align on KPI's, reporting needs and productivity indicators used in measuring performance and efficiency.
  • Subject matter expert, contributing to Incentive Compensation plan and process. Designing, implementing, and ongoing monitoring, innovation and measurement. Includes Project management of full IC process and deliverables and Territory target setting
  • working with BEI manager & Sales leaders to finalize goals.

Key member of the center of excellence for Analytics and Reporting utilizing BI tools such as Tableau, including providing sales force training & support.

  • Knowledge leader in respect to available data sources and impact on SFE processes & KPI's.
  • Leads the internal Marketing Planning & Implementation Process, working with BU leaders, sales & marketing leaders to establish aligned approach in development of plan, identification of KPI's & measurement + monitoring of plans.
  • Work with marketing teams to establish KPI's for significant programs / campaigns, conducting assessments in partnership with marketing team to enhance our marketing effectiveness.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • 8+ Years of experience and a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience and understanding of PAAB criteria and processes is a benefit.
  • BA / BSc Degree or equivalent in relevant field (Business / Pharma or similar). MBA preferred.
  • Track record of influencing key stakeholders across the organization, including strong presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Experience modelling potential compensation and quota structures.
  • Strategic data and analytical skills, including expert level in Excel, with the ability to digest and interpret multiple complex data sources and draw insights to utilise for Sales Force efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in managing cross functional projects and processes, including large cross-functional initiatives with a strategic approach.
  • Strong familiarity with the use or administration of a CRM system such as Salesforce
  • Organized and demonstrates a commitment to accuracy in managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Experience with Data Transformation (Alteryx) and BI Tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik.
