PNI's Vancouver, BC office is looking for a Marketing Manager to over a 12 month maternity leave. Reporting to the Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for creating, modifying and executing marketing strategies and campaigns for PNI and on behalf of PNI's retail partners, while working closely with PNI product management, projects, sales, account management and customer service. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for the management of the marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of marketing team members, including growth and career planning, setting quarterly objectives, hiring and training as needed, and setting the team of for continued success.
  • Develops comprehensive marketing plans, with a data driven marketing approach, for retail partners, incorporating the core goals of each retailer while respecting their unique brands, customer set and strategy.
  • Develop, evolve and enforce the brand for each of PNI's major retail customers.
  • Oversees the development of the tactical marketing collateral needed to support each retail partners' needs, including seasonal site graphic refreshes, email marketing campaigns, print ads, direct mail, product information guides, banner ads and promotional items.
  • Manages the entire product line life cycle for the retail partners' core products (photo books, greeting cards etc.) from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going travel to customer and industry events.
  • Drives a solution set across teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
  • Develops and implements a company-wide go-to-market plan for new initiatives, working with all departments to execute.
  • Manages the content on all of the company's retail partner websites including landing pages and product promotion pages.
  • Works with internal resources and external agencies to ensure the timely, cost effective delivery of high-quality material that conforms to PNI customers' style guide and brand image.
  • Brainstorms creative and new innovative ways to drive sales for PNI's retail partners.
  • Tests and evaluates alternative channel, product, and creative strategies and SEO to ensure the most productive and efficient approach.
  • Generates reports and presentations for senior management, detailing customer metrics, campaign performance, and creative strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree diploma with Marketing or Commerce
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience preferably in software with at least 1 year managing a team.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute on ideas effectively.
  • All-around creative professional with the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts.
  • Outstanding listening skills with the ability to meet with executive management to understand key messaging and positioning and communicate it to internal and external audiences in a meaningful and articulate way.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-project environment.
  • The ability to execute concepts within budget constraints.
  • Strong leadership to mentor junior and intermediate etc.
  • Management of own projects.
  • Ability to interface with executives, senior management and internal clients to understand subject matter.
  • Creative individual with high energy
