Proposed Title: Specialist, Communications and Content Management

Reporting to: Manager, Corporate Marketing and Communications

CORE RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Work with the Manager Corporate Marketing and Communications to conceptualise, plan and execute on the organisation's strategic internal and external communications.
  • Collaborate with various departments on development and implementation of internal communications strategies and plans.
  • Apply external and internal communications principles and best practises to create value and contribute to attaining CRH Canada's goals and objectives.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • Write clear, concise communications materials, for both internal and external audiences (internal announcements and Intranet content, presentations, press releases, brochures, presentations, web content, advertisement copy) on a wide range of topics
  • Support the corporate communications department administration including but not limited to communications email monitoring, translation coordination, media monitoring, etc.
  • Represent the Communications department on large scale and strategic company project committees to provide support form an internal and external communications standpoint
  • Develop strategies to champion our portfolio of brands and work with all business units to drive consistency and create strong brand equity.
  • Design, create, and manage to completion all marketing production related efforts such as promotional items, printed collateral, multimedia collateral, and direct mail pieces.
  • Ensure that all creative marketing materials undergo brand review and adhere to strict brand guidelines
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external marketing communications campaigns
  • Coordinate a variety of diverse communications projects, including but not limited to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), event management, social media, corporate videos, presentation development and promotional initiatives
  • Grow CRH Canada online community including through company's corporate website and social media (update, maintain and monitor all relevant channels).
  • Manage the corporate Content Management System (CMS) ensuring consistent application of CRH brand and training appropriate internal resources to use, update and leverage the platform
  • Manage company's portfolio of websites to ensure content is relevant and supports brand and business strategy, in collaboration with third-party vendors, and internal content managers.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on industry trends and economic indicators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum a Bachelor degree in Marketing or Communications.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a marketing and communication capacity.
  • Advance level experience with MS Office Suite and website content management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience in various social media platforms
  • Experience writing and designing marketing collaterals
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to follow-up and follow through on project requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team environment
