As Marketing Manager for one of Canada's leading general contractors, the Marketing Manager, brings a passion for market development and proven expertise in identifying, anticipating and satisfying client needs. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development and based out of the Clark Builders head Office in Edmonton, the Marketing Manager will be on the leading edge of an innovative and collaborative company as we transform our business and the industry.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Build a robust marketing presence with premium clients;
  • Enhance brand visibility and establish effective positioning strategies in key markets;
  • Help cultivate strong relationships through Net Promoter initiatives;
  • Evaluate success of marketing strategies and provide recommendations;
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs in support of corporate strategic plans, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration;
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for Clark Builders' website and social media platforms that enhance our online presence with target audiences;
  • Direct and manage external marketing consultants, including creative agencies;
  • Position Clark Builders as an industry thought leader through participation in targeted events, conferences, media and subject matter expert opportunities;
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, clients, communities, agencies, partners and vendors;
  • Prepare and manage marketing budgets and report on results;
  • Monitor branding guidelines and support brand utilization across the company;
  • Oversee and approve marketing materials, from website updates and online campaigns to collateral, site signage, project profiles and case studies;
  • Identify, manage, and measure success for participation in trade shows, seminars, exhibitions and conferences;
  • Support market research efforts to establish strategies related to sectors, geographies and clients;
  • Act as the contact person for media enquiries and follow up;
  • Analyze digital media conversion rates and identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement;
  • Travel as required: less than 5%, support project development teams in our Vancouver, Calgary and Yellowknife locations as well as projects and corporate initiatives across Western Canada through technology, corporate office meetings and limited travel.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field with minimum 5 years; related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans to support sales teams;
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools;
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools;
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns;
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Publisher;
  • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategies;
  • Proven experience designing interactive applications and networking platforms;
  • Established press and media contacts;
  • Construction specific marketing background.
