POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role of the Marketing Liaison Officer will be to guide Alexander College's marketing efforts in Latin America. The Officer will work with the Marketing team to enter new markets and maintain current markets for enrollment purposes. The Officer will represent the College by conducting presentations, providing advice to prospective students with respect to academic programs, admission procedures, and registration procedures, and imparting knowledge of the resources, facilities, and opportunities available to students of Alexander College.

Reports to a Marketing Supervisor and VP of Enrollment

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Full time, Permanent

WORK WEEK:

This position requires the Employee to work during regular business hours, Monday to Friday during operating hours, 9:00am

  • 5:30pm (including a half-hour unpaid lunch break), for a total of 40 hours per week (currently all employees are required to work remotely and supply their own equipment and supplies).

LOCATION:

Alexander College, Burnaby Campus and/or Vancouver Campus (working remotely for the time being).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education, minimum of a Certificate or Diploma equivalence
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the BC College and University system
  • International Business Trips: Marketing Liaison will occasionally travel internationally and will be responsible to provide any personal travel documents that they may require, including a passport
  • Enrollment Requirement: Marketing Liaison Officer may have an annual enrolment quota and/or target set out by the VP of Enrollment

Strong proficiency in Spanish and English is required

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strategic relationship with agencies, and other stakeholder groups in both local and overseas
  • Meet with and enroll students based on their educational specifications and requirements
  • Liaise with agents for enrollment and marketing purposes
  • Travel to various international destinations for educational fairs and agency meetings for College purposes
  • Promote Alexander College's educational programs through Social Media and other online applications
  • Assist the Marketing / Enrollment Department in conceiving, implementing, administering, and evaluating marketing plans for the College
  • Provide input in course/program formulation to assist in the development of the College
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Enrollment and Supervisors

ACADEMIC ADVISING JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise students on the course prerequisites for Alexander College courses
  • Assist students to create education plans that best suit their needs (i.e. course selection) for both Associate Degree completion or University Transfer

DIGITAL MARKETING JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop content for website, blogs, and marketing collateral
  • Integrate social media communications with the Alexander College website
  • Conduct research and analysis, gather information, write articles and stories, edit content, and adapt material to online format, tone, voice and style
  • Collaborate with third party service providers and facilitate technical troubleshooting
  • Provide one-on-one training and workshops on CMS to Liaison Officers
  • Produce online media analysis, activities, and design on every facet of online marketing campaigns and report marketing ROI metrics and input into the internal CRM
  • Participate and produce content for newsletter and email campaign and manage Social Media requirements
  • Manage ongoing processes and tasks associated with SEO and CRM system
  • Create schedules, budgets and resource plans for online marketing
  • Support marketing/enrollment team as related to marketing activities and coordinate inbound marketing campaigns
