Marketing Specialist (18 Month Term)

We currently have the opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join our team in our Winnipeg Head Office. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing the Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning and managing digital marketing campaigns and participating in the development of the overall digital marketing strategy for the Food & Ingredients division and our branded products across Retail, Food Service and Industrial sales channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • In partnership with the Marketing Manager, develop a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, including marketing spend and return on investment
  • Utilize market research related to consumer behavior, sales and market share, food and marketing trends and competitive analysis as foundation for digital planning
  • Create, manage and monitor social media accounts, blog posts, digital marketing campaigns, and promotions and provide monthly reporting
  • Monitor and improve search engine performance and goal-setting based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions
  • Manage and develop websites and content within the Food & Ingredients division
  • Support ongoing and new product development including product positioning, brand messaging, brand training, sales support and marketing tactics
  • Develop displays, advertising, presentations, and promotional items

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years digital marketing experience with a good understanding of industry trends and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Wordpress and Social Media
  • Strong creative and graphic design skills with the ability to work collaboratively on concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
