POSITION DETAILS:

WMC Water Management specializes in the optimization of heating and cooling systems within large commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. As the exclusive Canadian distributor for ChemTreat International, WMC provides technical expertise in water treatment to building owners, property managers, and engineering contractors. By protecting HVAC systems against corrosion, deposition, and microbiological contamination, we aim to increase the efficiency of our clients' operations and drive down costs.

We are currently seeking a Commercial Sales Representative to join our experienced team of water treatment professionals. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Sales & Service the Commercial Sales Representative will develop and implement a targeted sales plan focused on sourcing new customers and converting inbound leads within the commercial & institutional water treatment industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Source new sales opportunities through a variety of prospecting methods including outbound cold calls, in-person site visits, trade shows, industry networking events, etc.
  • Qualify new business prospects, and build an active, high potential prospect pipeline
  • Facilitate implementation of water & energy efficiency improvements, water safety plans, sustainability initiatives, and other value-added services.
  • Support the creation, improvement, and implementation of innovative sales strategies to increase market share within the assigned territory
  • Keep accurate records and reports with respect to sales and prospects to inform management of sales progress and success.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with property managers, building owners, and mechanical service contractors.
  • Meet sales quotas and objectives as outlined
  • Create and present effective proposals to prospective customers while communicating the WMC value proposition
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Proven record of soliciting new opportunities and relationships (in a sales context)
  • Possess an assertive ?hunter/go-getter? attitude to generate a high volume of sales leads
  • Superior communication skills: verbal, written, and listening
  • Technical college diploma or equivalent experience. (4+ years minimum)
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • History of being customer-centric and obsessive about providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational and planning skills
  • Continuous improvement focused, with a record of suggesting and implementing positive changes to processes and procedures
  • Desire for continuous growth of knowledge related to products and best practices

REQUIREMENTS

  • A criminal background check may be required.
  • Ontario drivers license with clean driver's abstract.
