KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborates on the creation, then leads and measures the implementation of a digital marketing strategy, with a focus on tracking and continuously improving multi-channel marketing campaigns, to increase and optimize website conversions and improve the online customer experience.
  • Collaborates on the development of the social media strategy and email marketing plan that aligns with growth of identified target markets and supports business objectives.
  • Contributes to the research, recommendations, development and maintenance of the CFCU and divisional online properties.
  • Proactively maintains and manages accurate email marketing lists and data, in alignment with organizational policy, databases and CASL regulations.
  • Provides strategic insight to paid digital campaigns, email marketing, mobile, social and keyword efforts (display, search, SEO).
  • Researches and stays up-to-date on the identification of digital trends, digital media developments and competitive insights that may impact current/future operational tactics.
  • Identifies and recommends content for owned media, including websites, social channels and email marketing.
  • Trafficks and monitors digital creative assets for campaigns and business projects.
  • Ensures the member's experience is consistent from paid media to the website and offline channels.
  • Helps to define key performance metrics, clearly communicating what the numbers represent, and how they will provide insight to drive marketing recommendations.
  • Monitors and analyzes data to report on the impact and effectiveness of social media, website marketing, and email marketing efforts, making recommendations for channel optimization, new opportunities and new uses, appropriate to identified goals and target markets.
  • Assesses the digital journey to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement and to help inform and guide strategy.
  • In collaboration with the Manager, Digital Marketing and regional stakeholders, contributes to the research and design of the annual online communication plan, website plan, and budget in alignment with agreed business goals and objectives.
  • Participates and manages specific projects and initiatives as required.
  • Assists in external-facing events, presentations, sponsorships and community involvement initiatives.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing or design.
  • Proven skills in social media, email marketing and digital platforms.
  • Proven competency in the digital sphere, with a high level of skill in analyzing digital performance, including the use of Google Analytics and CRM tools.
  • Working towards, or completion of, a certificate or diploma in graphic design, digital media, visual communications or another closely related field is required, while a degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts in the context of various print and digital media.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, schedule and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
