The Marketing Project Manager will develop and support the implementation of creative initiatives, management of content across platforms and serve as a bridge between the marketing team and other teams, such as purchasing and merchandising departments.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

  • Marketing Strategy
    • Develop unique creative strategies for the various marketing channels (email, social, video, etc) being used to engage with our customers
    • Develop merchandising strategy as it relates to marketing efforts including strategic selection of products, brands, and categories to be promoted in marketing efforts
    • Develop campaigns and initiatives to increase brand awareness and to help meet revenue objectives
    • Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels
  • People Management
    • Responsible for the day to day management of three content managers
    • Hire, train and motivate team members for whom you are responsible
  • Project Management
    • Develop and maintain a publishing calendar to enable coordination and organization across various departments within the company
    • Ensure projects are well documented and that underlying tasks are well understood and communicated to the responsible team members. Track progress with project members to ensure deadline compliance. Assist project members in resolving obstacles as they occur
    • Collect and organize content from both internal teams and external partners as needed for project completion. Ensure collected deliverables are complete and meet company quality standards
    • Manage and oversee content creation projects assigned to external partners to ensure successful delivery of assets
    • Responsible for final review of prepared media content prior to publishing

QUALITIES WE ARE SEARCHING FOR:

  • Extremely organized and strong project management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (Familiarity with project management tools, excel, marketing tools, Web CMS systems, basic HTML/CSS, SEO, etc)
  • Strong research skills
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with retail or consumer side business. (Familiarity with concepts and language around product inventory, pricing, and merchandising)
  • Attention to detail
