District Supervisor - Quebec

SPAR Canada Company is one of the nation's largest merchandising services firms. SPAR is looking for an experienced bilingual District Supervisor for the Quebec territory which includes Quebec City and surrounding areas.  As a District Supervisor with SPAR, you will be accountable for direct oversight of retail merchandisers ensuring our clients’ expectations, requirements and timelines are met.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track progress of field executions, identify execution delays or uncovered territories and execute action plans to resolve these issues
  • Follow up on late job completions and advise the Client Service team on alternate execution plans
  • Manage weekly scheduling of merchandiser assignments
  • Lead & motivate a team of contract merchandisers
  • Responsible for recruiting new merchandisers, including:
    • Onboarding new merchandisers
    • Communicate & train client objectives to merchandisers
    • System training for on-line & app reporting
    • Provide job assignments/contract opportunities to merchandisers
    • Manage travel (access) costs to within company and district goals
  • Conduct quality assurance audits via live or phone audits on behalf of our clients
  • Develop business objectives and determine and plan district needs to meet current and upcoming workload demands, and ensure the availability of the correct number of merchandisers required for each execution
  • Identify and Investigate district inconsistencies and anomalies, such as falsification of records and theft, and work with Regional Directors to resolve these issues
  • Occasional travel throughout district
  • Work from home 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree required
  • Minimum three (3) years retail/merchandising or vendor related experience 
  • Bilingual (oral & written) French & English required
  • Strong project management/administration experience
  • Exceptional supervisory and delegation and negotiation skills with direct report supervisory experience
  • Expertise using Microsoft office including excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Recruitment experience an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast paced & demanding environment
