The Senior Marketing Manager will help shape the way we look and taste for years to come while staying true to our rich history. At naturSource®, the right candidate will have the opportunity to develop and execute their own integrated marketing plan. They will champion brand development, consumer communications (including social media), consumer and market research, portfolio innovation, trade presentations, retail pricing, and promotions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience marketing products in the retail food industry; however those with strong CPG experience in other retail channels will be considered. They must be analytical (ability to use data from multiple sources including AC Nielsen, consumer insight and their own research), creative (ability to direct designers and agencies), and obsessive over details.

FIRST YEAR GOALS:

  • Create a new marketing plan within 90 days
  • Rationalize SKU list and launch new packaging that communicates our new brand strategy for all retail products by the end of 2019
  • Launch new website that communicates our new brand strategy within 270 days
  • Start using social media to regularly connect with our target customers once new website has been launched
  • Ongoing: Build a team of “A Players” to execute your marketing plan
  • With R&D, develop a pipeline for new products based on new brand strategy and target market
  • Year two: begin brand building using the tools developed in year one

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5 years of CPG retail marketing experience
  • Minimum 3 years developing packaging for retail
  • Experience in the food industry an asset
  • Experience in directing creative strategy to build brands
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to both work independently and lead a team
  • Experience managing and coordinating consumer and trade events
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and high attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and other office productivity sofware
