DESCRIPTION DU POSTE :

Sous l’autorité du Coordonnateur – environnement, communication et loisirs et de la direction générale, le candidat choisi exerce sa fonction à l’intérieur d’une grande autonomie. Il contribue au rayonnement de la Ville par la recherche active et la diffusion de matériel auprès des différents médias municipaux.

Le Responsable du développement des communications participe à la planification, à l’évaluation et à la réalisation de projets sur le plan organisationnel et financier, comme par exemple la Refonte du site Internet de la ville (projet actuellement en cours).  

Les principales responsabilités du Responsable du développement des communications seront les suivantes, sans s’y limiter:

  • Élaborer le Plan stratégique de communication de la Ville et les stratégies s’y rattachant ;
  • Participer à la formalisation des processus de travail en matière de communication;
  • Recueillir l’information requise et fournir un support rédactionnel pour divers types de communication ;
  • Contrôler la qualité des communications destinées au public réalisées par les différents départements en matière linguistique par la relecture, la traduction, la révision, la rédaction et la production de divers documents (lettres, communiqués, capsules d’information, brochures, rapports annuels, présentations, affiches, calendriers municipaux, etc.) destinés à une publication à l’externe.
  • Assurer la cohérence visuelle et ergonomique des communications et veiller au respect des normes graphiques et de la signature institutionnelle;
  • Intégrer l’ensemble des modifications des contenus et des visuels sur le site Internet et le calendrier éditorial Web; assurer la qualité des informations s’y retrouvant, et ce, en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de direction;
  • Animer les médias sociaux de la ville et en assurer une vigie quotidienne;
  • Toutes autres tâches connexes.

COMPÉTENCES ET EXIGENCES REQUISES :

  • Communication orale et écrite bilingue (anglais et français);
  • Autonomie, sens de l’organisation, créativité, gestion du temps et des priorités et adaptation au changement:
  • Baccalauréat en communication, profil médias interactifs, graphisme ou multimédia ou toute discipline pertinente pour le poste ;
  • Connaissance informatique avancée : suite Microsoft, Adobe – InDesign, Publisher, Illustrator, Photoshop Lightroom et After Effect, un atout;
  • Connaissance du système de gestion de contenu Internet : WordPress, un atout;
  • Posséder deux (2) ans d'expérience dans un travail pertinent.

SALAIRE ET AVANTAGES

Poste contractuel à durée déterminée de deux ans. L’horaire est de 35h/semaine du lundi au vendredi, 8h30 à 12h00 et de 13h00 à 16h30. La rémunération est de 55 000 $/an et les avantages sont à discuter.

Lieu de travail : Hôtel de ville, 50, avenue Westminster S. Montréal Ouest.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the authority of the Environment, Communication and Recreation Coordinator and Director General, the chosen candidate will exercise their function with high degree of autonomy. They will contribute to the outreach of the Town through active research and the dissemination of material via various municipal mediums.

The Communications Development Supervisor participates in the planning, evaluation and implementation of projects at the organizational and financial levels, such as the redesign of the Town’s Website (project currently in progress).

The main responsibilities of the Communications Development Supervisor will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop the Town’s Strategic Communications Plan and related strategies;
  • Participate in the formalization of work processes in the area of communication;
  • Gather the required information and provide editorial support for various types of communication;
  • Control the quality of language in communications intended for the public that are realized by the different departments by the proofreading, translation, revision, drafting and the production of various documents (letters, communiques, information capsules, brochures, annual reports, presentations, posters, municipal calendars, etc.) destined for external publication.
  • Ensure the visual and ergonomic consistency of communications and ensure coherence with the graphical standards and the institutional signature;
  • Integrate all necessary changes to the content and visuals on the website and the web calendar; ensure the quality of the information found there, in close collaboration with the management team;
  • Animate and monitor the Town’s social media on daily basis;
  • Any other related tasks.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual, oral and written (English and French);
  • Autonomy, sense of organization, creativity, time and priority management and adaptable to change:
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, interactive media profile, graphic design or multimedia or any discipline relevant to the position;
  • Advanced Computer Literacy: Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign, Publisher, Illustrator, Photoshop Lightroom and After Effect an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Website Content Management System: WordPress, an asset;
  • Have two (2) years of experience in relevant work.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Contractual post with a fixed term of two years. The schedule is 35h / week from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:30. $ 55 000/ year and benefits are to be discussed.

Location: Town Hall, 50 Westminster S. Montreal West.
