MANDAT

Sous la supervision du directeur de projet, le poste consiste à réaliser des tâches courantes relatives à la traduction d’une collection francophone en anglais :

• Rédiger et réviser, en anglais, certaines parties des textes à caractère technique.
• Uniformiser des contenus suite à leur traduction et/ou leur adaptation en anglais.
• Organiser et gérer les étapes de traduction, de révision linguistique, de validation des contenus et de correction d’épreuves.
• Analyser le niveau d’efforts requis pour les étapes de production sous sa responsabilité et proposer un échéancier de réalisation à la direction de projet concernée.
• Organiser et superviser des séances vidéo et leur montage.
• Effectuer le contrôle de la qualité et apporter les correctifs nécessaires avant de transmettre un projet en production.
• Transmettre à la direction de projet ses observations et ses recommandations en vue d’orienter le traitement du projet.
• Rédiger des énoncés caractéristiques d’un produit afin d’en faire la promotion.
• Participer à la validation des rétroactions des clients au regard des contenus et en assurer le traitement.
• Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

• Diplôme d’études universitaire dans un domaine pertinent

EXIGENCES

• Expérience à titre de chargé de projet en édition scolaire
• Minimum de deux ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire
• Maîtrise de l’anglais oral et écrit et bon français oral et écrit (bilinguisme un atout)
• Bonne connaissance du logiciel InDesign, de la suite Office et de Acrobat (manipulation de fichiers PDF)
• Intérêt pour les domaines techniques (un atout)
• Sens de la planification et de l’organisation
• Esprit d’analyse
• Capacité d’adaptation
• Minutie

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the job includes tasks related to the translation of a francophone collection into English:

• Writing and correcting technical content in English.
• Standardizing the contents after the translation and adaptation into English.
• Organizing and following all the steps of translation, correction, and validation of the content and the proofs.
• Analyzing the needs for every step of the production under your responsibility and proposing a schedule to the Project Manager.
• Organizing and following the creation and editing of videos.
• Performing quality control and making corrections before submitting the project to the production team.
• Writing the characteristics for marketing.
• Validating and responding to customer feedback.
• Other related tasks

Requirements

• University diploma in a related field
• A minimum of 2 years in a similar job
• Experience as a project coordinator in educational publishing
• Fluency in English and good level of understanding in French (being bilingual is an asset)
• Good knowledge of InDesign, the Office suite and Acrobat (able to manipulate with PDF files)
• Interest for technical fields (an asset)
• Sense of planning and organizing
• Analytical mind
• Ability to adapt
