JOB BRIEF

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Groupon Quebec’s digital strategy and performance marketing execution, delivering increased awareness, customer acquisition and engagement. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

You will own the majority of the marketing funnel for our company. We are looking for an amazing, data-driven inbound marketer who will be in charge of attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing to close those leads into customers, the latter of which sales leadership will help you accomplish.

This person will be in charge of a multi-million dollars marketing budget to help acquire new leads and customers through online pay-per-click and cost-per-acquisition campaigns. This role is responsible for ensuring a best-in-class, cohesive digital strategy is developed and executed across SEM/PPC, Programmatic, Display, Paid Social and CRM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, execute and optimize all web, SEO/SEM, PPC, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns and eCRM activity
  • Define and manage SEM/PPC strategy to drive customer acquisition across app, mobile and web environments
  • Define, execute and analyze a digital paid media strategy encompassing Programmatic, Social and Display
  • Oversee CRM strategy development; designing programs to drive new customer acquisition while also increasing engagement of current customers
  • Define, manage and oversee implementation of an SEO strategy to drive organic brand growth through customer acquisition
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Cooperate with the business to source inventory required for email and promotional marketing, SEM non-brand and mobile marketing initiatives
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies with your team
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Analyze customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Leverage internal, market and consumer centric data to ensure that sound marketing decisions are made and that programs are appropriately analyzed
  • Work closely across all functional departments to ensure the Digital strategy is clearly understood, implemented and supported throughout the organization
  • Maintain tight budget controls across all Digital marketing initiatives ensuring on time and on budget delivery
  • Assess & develop digital team to meet the changing needs of the organization

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing with minimum 8 years experience working cross-functionally, within an international technical environment  in a similar role (experience in online marketing/eCommerce is a plus)
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Business sense to translate complex cross-functional technical problems into effective online marketing
  • Track record of delivering and growing KPIs for online businesses via online marketing projects & initiatives
  • Highly organized entrepreneur, self-motivated, flexible and with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, working cross-functionally and meeting business deadlines
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills (ability to document ideas concisely and quickly), excellent English skills (both verbal and written), and French
  • 4 years experience of management
