What does the Account Management Team look like?

At the core of it, sales at Bench is people-centric and focused on making a difference in the lives of small business owners. The Account Management team is a specialized team within Sales focused on bringing additional value and services to our existing clients.

As an Account Manager, you'll get to know our clients and their needs, have meaningful sales conversations aimed at helping business owners achieve their goals, collaborate with internal partner teams, and constantly transform our systems as a part of our "startup within a startup." If you're passionate about problem-solving and eager to build something great, you've come to the right place!

What you'll get up to:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for our clients by understanding their business goals and needs, and educating them on potential solutions we can offer.
  • Manage an ongoing pipeline of new leads and client requests through phone calls, emails, texts, and more.
  • Treat every interaction as an opportunity to delight, whether it's providing a referral to a partner service or collaborating with a cross-departmental peer to resolve a client challenge.
  • Contribute to designing and improving processes and materials by:
  • Iterating on current processes-improve our existing email templates and cadences, build out new training materials, and be a vocal advocate for our clients' experience in the Bench App.
  • Creating new processes-experiment with new workflows and approaches to selling products
  • Grow your tech skills by managing your workflow using software tools like SalesForce, SalesLoft, RingCentral, Google Sheets, and the Bench App.
  • Help one of Vancouver's fastest-growing startups hit its revenue and growth goals.

What you'll need:

What you'll get:

  • At Bench we share information freely and openly whenever possible. We offer a competitive base salary and monthly uncapped commission available for a total on-target earnings of $56,900.

  • We have a number of Affinity Groups - groups of people who have shared identities and experiences! The purpose of these groups is to support underrepresented Benchmates and amplify their voices.
  • This role is for one of three teams who, by design, function better together in person. Now our Vancouver HQ has closed, if you live in the Vancouver lower mainland you will get the opportunity to be involved in the trial of a coworking space designed for the Account Management team. We will test, learn and iterate together!
  • Whether you get to use the coworking space as part of a hybrid model or if you work remotely, you'll have access to our Home Office Setup Fund to ensure that you have everything you need to work comfortably from home, from day one.
  • You will also have the opportunity to work internationally for up to 90 days per calendar year.
